Building Recycling Rates

On the University’s waste management website is a file containing the recycling rates of all the buildings on campus. For the majority of the buildings, recycling rates have increased from 2011 to 2012!

The average building recycling rate of those measured was 42.0%​

​​

  • In 2012, Angell, Haven, Mason, and Tisch Hall combined recycled 30.8% of their waste: this is a 4.6% increase from 2011.​
  • In 2012, the Dana Building and Randall Lab combined recycled 54.1% of their waste: this is a 2.6% increase from 2011
  • In 2012, the Chemistry Building recycled 48.3% of its waste: this is a 6.7% increase from 2011.
  • In 2012, Dennison and CC Little combined recycled 21.8% of their waste: this is a .9% increase from 2011
  • In 2012, East Hall recycled 34.0% of its waste: this is a 2.9% increase from 2011
  • In 2012, Hill Auditorium, the Modern Languages Building, and the Burton Memorial Tower combined recycled 36.5% of their waste: this is a 7.8% increase from 2011.
